The Monterey Scottish Games & Celtic Festival is celebrating its 41st Anniversary in 2008 during the 2nd Annual event-filled Monterey County Celtic Week.
This week-long Celtic celebration will be held from June 28th through July 6th with a variety of special activities, including the 4th Annual Monterey Bay School of
Piping and Drumming (June 28-July 3) that brings world renowned bagpipe teachers from Scotland. There will be a special Celtic Concert on Wednesday, July 2nd
featuring the bagpipe instructors from Scotland, Irish dancers, and other Celtic performers.
Monterey County Celtic Week will culminate with the 41st Annual Monterey Scottish Games and Celtic Festival at Monterey County Toro Park on
Saturday, July 5 & Sunday, July 6, 2008. This lively weekend Festival offers fun for the entire family. It features a wide array of Scottish and Irish
musicians, Scottish and Highland dancers, Irish step dancers, pipe band competitions, a special Pipe Band Festival on Sunday, British food and crafts, thrilling
Scottish athletic competitions including the famous Caber Toss and much, much more. Proceeds of the festival benefit various local charities.
