Dear Clans,
The Monterey Scottish Games & Celtic Festival will be held at Monterey County "Toro Park", on August 7th and 8th, 2010.
Toro County Park is a beautiful, spacious, oak tree studded park. The park's pastoral setting makes it an ideal site for the
Monterey Scottish Games. The climate tends to be warmer in the Salinas area, and the park has plenty of shade under the magnificent
oak trees. Toro County Park is located on Highway 68, four miles from Salinas and 13 miles from the Monterey Peninsula. This will make
it more convenient in travel time for all our out of area participants. Toro Park is closer to Salinas and this will give our participants a
greater choice in the moderately priced lodging of Salinas. For those who wish to stay over on the Monterey Peninsula it is only a
fifteen-minute drive to the park.
We are fortunate to be able to offer camping inside Toro Park for participants for Friday and Saturday. All campsites must
be reserved in advance and each camper must purchase in advance a two-day Game's ticket
We appreciate the support of the Clans and Societies who participate at our Games and we will do our best to make this a truly enjoyable
weekend for all.
We are offering Clan - Tent spaces as follows:
Additional game's tickets can be purchased at the advance discount rate of $18 for one day, $28 for two
days (Gate prices $20 and $30)
We look forward to having you join us in celebrating the Monterey Scottish Games and Celtic Festival at "Monterey County Toro Park".
If another clan member will be representing the clan tent other than the addressee will you kindly pass this information on to them or notify us.
If I can be of any further assistance, please telephone me at the number listed below.
